How the courses teach

A sentence, marked like a script

We have three weeks, not three months, so today I need a decision. Marked with two short pauses, one long pause, a breath before "so today", and two stressed words: "three weeks" and "decision".

and Single and double bar
A short pause, and a full stop held long enough for the point to land.
Underlined word
The one word per line that carries the meaning. Everything else is said lighter.
Breath mark
Where you take a low, quiet breath, planned before you stand up rather than snatched mid-phrase.
